38 Weeks

Not much change from week 37. Only still dialated to a 1. Still just a waiting game. I have started having more contractions. Some of them stronger than before, but still very sporadic, so nothing to get too anxious about just yet. For the first time I have really struggled with sleeping. I cannot get comfortable, have to get up to use the bathroom almost every hour now, and the baby seems to be really active in the evenings and throughout the nighttime - which I love and already know I will miss when he's here. I have also been having some weird cramping in the middle of the night, which makes me just toss and turn even more to get comfortable. I can tell it's getting closer each day with all of these changes though! Who knows, maybe my next post will be the introduction of our little man! :-) Week 39 appointment tomorrow!

37 Weeks

7-10-12 Wow, can't believe that was already 2 weeks ago! I was able to breathe a big sigh of relief when I made it this far! The doctor said everything was still progressing well and that I had even begun dialating. She even went on to say that he could come any day now. Which, at that time I was thrilled to hear but looking back on it now, probably was not the best thing for her to say. Ever since, of course, I have been on the edge of my seat thinking that he really was going to come any day. In reality, he is probably pretty comfortable where he is and will be in there for the long haul. Sorry to all of my friends and family who I mentioned this to. I know everytime you see our name on the Caller ID you are hoping that it's time!

Because I heard the doctor say that, I quickly came home and got all of my laundry done, bags packed, house cleaned, and other last minute things checked off. Unfortunately now, it's been 2 weeks since then and the laundry has stacked back up, and the house became cluttered yet again. :-(

3 Years

Brad and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on Wednesday. It seems just like yesterday we were married and here it is already 3 years later. We had such a great day with so many wonderful family and friends celebrating with us. I wouldn't change a single thing about it! We have SO many pictures from that day so I thought I would take a trip down memory lane and share a few of them! Happy Anniversary, Brad! Thanks for a great 3 years and can't wait for many more with you!! Love you!

36 Weeks

I had my last of the every 2 week appointments this week, so now I start seeing the doctor weekly... yay!! It is getting extremely close now with the start of week 37 only 2 days away!

Everything is going really well! Well, maybe other than spending a lot of time indoors due to the temperatures being in the 100's every day this past week. The baby is still moving around all the time. I have a pretty good feeling he is starting to run out of space because he is in my ribs all the time now.

I want to say a big Congratulations to my cousin Josh, and his new wife Elizabeth who were married this past weekend. I really wanted to be there to see them get married, but I wasn't able to travel to Wichita. :-(  I am excited though because I will see Josh's sister tomorrow so hopefully that means a lot of pictures...haha!

See ya next week for Week 37!

More of the Nursery

This one is for you, Mom! I know my mom can't wait to see Baby Z's room so I am posting some more pictures since we have more of it finished!

Fun With Family

Last weekend, Brad's parents came to KC for a mini vacation. Although it was hot, we had fun spending time with them, Brian & Jen and the boys, and Kevin. We visited the new Sea Life Aquarium down at Crown Center on Saturday morning. After that we all went to Jack Stack for some yummy BBQ!! Saturday night, we had a BBQ at Brian and Jen's house. We ate outside on the patio and watched the boys play in the backyard... fun! Sunday afternoon everyone came down to our house to see the baby's room. It was so fun getting to show it off! Then we all had some yummy Italian at Garozzo's. Brad worked on Monday but his parents stayed with us a couple more days. Thanks to Bev and Darold for a fun weekend!!

Before we went into the aquarium!

Bev was the only one brave enough to hold the Scorpion - type creature.

This picture was too cute not to share, but I still can't figure out how to rotate my pictures.
Sorry! I'll keep trying!
