Brad is 30!

Brad turned 30 this past Sunday so Parker and I helped him celebrate! My Mom had texted me right as we were getting ready for Brad to open his gifts so I asked her and my Dad to join us via Skype. They helped me sing him Happy Birthday, and watched as Brad opened his gifts.
Later that night, we went to Culver's and had dinner and ice cream.
It was a fun day with our little family!

Brad chose brownies over a cake this year.
I forgot to snap a picture before he dug in...oops!

Parker was drawing a picture in Daddy's card. :)

Time for gifts... in case you're wondering they are looking at my parents on the computer.

Parker and I gave him some new work out clothes (Nike t-shirt and shorts). We plan on spending lots of time outside this spring and summer and we want Daddy to be comfy. :)

Happy Birthday, Brad! Hope you enjoy your 30's!

Stuck in the House - Boooo!!!

We have been stuck in the house a lot lately. Two weeks ago Parker was sick for 7 days with the flu - fever, cough, sneezing, congestion... no fun for anyone. Just about the time he was feeling better and we could actually get out of the house, we got 11 inches of snow!! So, needless to say, we have been trying to find things to do to pass the time inside. When he was sick all he wanted to do was sit on my lap and watch Mickey Mouse, so that's about all we did for 5 days straight. I loved the snuggles but hated that he wasn't feeling well. He had enough energy to run around the next few days but he was still running a low fever so we didn't go anywhere.

I am always snapping pictures of Parker, and even though we have been stuck inside I still had the camera out. Enjoy the randomness of the following pictures... this is what being sick and 11 inches of snow on the ground looked like from inside our house!

Isn't this what all the cool kids do?

 Mr. Cool

 Let Me Out Of Here!

If you can't tell, we are going through a phase where sunglasses are cool. :)

 Still not feeling well...

 Picking out bedtime books.

 Just hangin' out...

He was probably doing laps around his room... he wasn't going to let being sick slow him down.

 It snowed... a lot!

Parker is OBSESSED with this yard stick. Carries it around everywhere!

Parker thinks all of this snow is cause for a touchdown celebration.

In these next few pictures he was watching Brad scoop the driveway. So cute!
Before I know it, he will be out there helping!

Unloading the dishwasher is one of Parker's favorite things to help me with!

Again, with the yardstick. Obsessed, I tell ya!

Hope you enjoyed our random slide show of pictures.
We are looking ahead to the temperature getting above freezing! Yeah!!

Parker is 18 Months!

Our little man is growing up! I just cannot believe it! He had his 18 month check this week and the doctor says he's right on track with all of his milestones.

There are so many words I could use to describe Parker at this stage. He is SO much smarter than I ever imagined an 18 month old could be. He makes us laugh multiple times a day. He is independent most of the time, but still a Mama's boy when he wants to be. He is curious, sneaky, fearless, ornery, loveable, and still my whole world.

Here are some of the things Parker is up to these days...

Height.... 32 1/4 inches -- 50th%
Weight... 25 pounds 14 ounces -- 70th%
HC... 19 inches -- 75%

*Can tell you he's 1 by holding up his finger when you ask him how old he is

*Climbs up and down the stairs by himself

*Knows where to throw his diaper away after being changed

*He loves that he can walk and run now and is constantly on the go!

*Would pick playing in the kitchen any day over playing with his toys (recycling, drawers & cabinets, pantry, dishwasher, fridge, laundry room).

*Knows how to get in the pantry and find his snacks

*He is starting to get pretty good at using a spoon and fork by himself

*Loves to help me vacuum and unload the dishwasher

*Waves bye-bye when we put his shoes on

*Loves to pretend he's talking on the phone (and loves to dial numbers and actually call people, too!)

*Will put his clothes in his hamper by himself when we get him undressed

*Loves to blow kisses, and give kisses by putting his hand over your mouth

*Knows where his nose, ears, and belly are located. He's not interested in learning the rest, but I am trying!

*He loves to Skype and see Grandma & Grandpa Mans and Aunt Meg and Uncle Bret on the screen. (Grandma & Grandpa Zimmerman - we need to Skype with you!)

*Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

*Wearing 18-24 month clothes and Size 4 diapers

*He is "talking" all day long but still only a few words are clear to us. His newest is "uh -oh" (says this when he drops something, throws something, falls down, and wakes up). He also continues with Zo-Zo, Mama, Dada, and No.

Thank you for making my days so much fun, Parker!
We love you to pieces!!

This is pretty much sums up our days... one shoe missing, one sleeve up, sunglasses on... :)

This is the look I get when I ask him to smile for a picture...

 Or this one... hehe!

He LOVES being outside!! We need Spring to hurry up and get here!!
