Our Beautiful Ride : Baby's First Trip to Osborne

Parker had his first big road trip this weekend. We headed to Osborne early Friday morning. I started packing for Parker, Brad, Zoe, and I on Monday afternoon and by Thursday evening everything was packed and loaded in the car. Good thing I started early, huh?! It takes so much stuff when you travel with a baby! Parker didn't sleep very well on Thursday night so he was awake at 4am. We rocked for awhile and he fell back asleep until 6am. I fed him, changed his clothes and we were all loaded and in the car at 7:10am. He did awesome in the car! He slept most of the way, only waking when we slowed down through a few small towns. He never did get real fussy so we just kept on going and made it to Osborne by 11:30am. We went straight to Mom and Dad's work where Parker got his diaper changed on Grandpa's (my dad's) desk. :-)

We just hung out at my parent's house on Friday afternoon and evening. Sheryl came by to meet Parker (thanks for coming!) and Megan got to town later that evening. Saturday morning, Lacey and Donovan stopped by for a visit! Thanks for coming you two - Parker had fun playing with you! That afternoon my cousin got married in Tipton so we went to the wedding. Parker met a lot of new people including Great Grandma and Grandpa Mans! I was sad that I didn't get a picture of them together but I will at my sister's wedding in a couple of weeks! He also got to meet all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends!! He was quite the popular little man. He also met David and Kelli and cannot wait until next time when he gets to play with Brayden and Bryson! :-) We stayed for the reception and dinner but went home shortly after the dance started. Parker really wanted to stay and dance but we needed to get home for a bath and bed. :-)

On Sunday, Parker played with Aunt Meg, and Grandma and Grandpa before we had to head home that afternoon. Thanks to my Mom and Dad for a great weekend! We completely invaded their house and had baby stuff in every single room! We can't wait to come back for Megan's wedding in 10 days! I love you Grandma and Grandpa!
