Shopping for Baby

Saturday morning Brad and I headed out to get a few things checked off of the shopping list for baby boy. We went to Buy Buy Baby and ordered our Stroller/Car Seat Travel System. I am soo excited for this to be delivered in a week. Baby Boy Z is going to be riding in style!

We then headed over to Babies R Us and added a few more items to our registry. While there, we looked at baby monitors and swings.

By the end of the weekend, we had purchased a swing and had a monitor picked out.

From the very beginning I told Brad he could pick out whatever monitor he thought was best. Now for those of you who know Brad, he didn't just go out and pick the first one he saw. He looked at them in every store we went to (multiple times), researched them online, price matched on all of the store's websites, and asked my opinion numerous times. He finally decided on this one, after playing with it in the store on Saturday. I am giving him bonus points because he even found a coupon that we can use on it. :)

There is not much this monitor won't do and although I didn't think we needed one of the most expensive ones, it is very cool. After playing with it in the store, it was kind of hard not to think it was the coolest thing ever. Some of my favorite features are that you can use buttons on the monitor that you keep with you to tilt the camera up and down and back and forth. This helps if you have a baby who moves all over his crib - ha! I also like that it plays music. It has a huge screen, as you can see, and is in color. Brad is so into his technology, which is a win/win for me because then he can be on baby patrol when the little guy is in his crib.

We haven't made much more progress on the nursery because we are still waiting for the furniture to be delivered. This is the weekend my mom is coming to town though, so we are going to work on the curtains and window coverings. I will post pictures soon!
